Wavi Craft & Designの今現在の目的 ・既存の素材の可能性を生かし、環境保護活動を支持することで持続可能なアウトドアレクリエーションの理念を育む ・生態系に関する見識を交換し、初心者からベテランライダーまでを対象とした魅力的なワークショップやイベントを開催すること 私たちの次の目標は、’25-’26シーズンまでに100％生分解可能で高性能なユキイタを作ることです。

Wavi Craft & Design is dedicated to harnessing the potential of existing materials, championing environmental causes, fostering a sustainable outdoor recreation ethos, exchanging ecosystem insights, and organizing engaging workshops and events for both novice and seasoned riders. Our next goal is to create a 100% biodegradable and high performing yukiita by the season of ’25-’26.

BEHIND THE SCENES

ユキイタに乗ったり、ユキイタの形を作ったりすることの一番のやりがいは、友達や家族のためにユキイタを作ること。 特にワークショップを通じて、このような経験を共有できるのは充実感がある。 最近、バイオミミクリー（生物模倣）のマスターマインド・コースを修了し、自分が乗っている地域の動植物に影響を受けた “新しい “ユキイタのシェイプやデザインを試したいとさらに思うようになった。 ぜひ一緒にボードを作る計画を立てましょう！

The most rewarding aspect of riding and shaping yukiita is creating them for my friends and family. It’s even better sharing these experiences through workshops. Recently, I completed a Mastermind course in Biomimicry, and I am inspired even more to experiment with “new” yukiita shapes and designs that are influenced by the flora and fauna of the areas where I ride — envisioning a unique biodegradable board and a collaborative workspace. We should definitely plan to make a board together sometime soon!

Tomomi has been a steady hand in translating and checking the clarity of almost anything related to Wavi Craft. She lends her sharp eyes and brains to a lot of the marketing detailing as well. Then, of course, she is first in line to ride cruiser style yukiita. Her riding style matches perfectly with those who don’t have much snowboarding experience but are keen to learn how to ride a yukiita, surfboard and longboard. When a hill gets out of her comfort zone, she has no qualms treating a yukiita like a sled!

ユウキは熱狂的なボードライダーだ。バックカントリーではスケートボードのダウンヒルから壊れたユキタまで何でも乗りこなす。ある冬の午後、ボードの試乗をしていたら、そのうちの1本が割れてしまった。別の板に乗り換える代わりに、彼は板全体を真っ二つに割った。半分の板でトライするのは楽しいし、やってみる価値があると思ったからだ！そう、半分の大きさのユキイタでも実験的に！彼の熱意は伝染し、新鮮な空気を与えてくれる。

Yūki is an enthusiastic board rider. He will ride anything from a skateboard downhills to a broken yukita in the backcountry. We were test riding boards one winter afternoon and one of them cracked. Instead of switching to another board, he cracked the entire board in half because he decided it would be fun and worth trying to ride a half-board! Yes, even a half-sized yukiita just as an experiment! His enthusiasm is contagious and a fresh of breath air.
